My CCD pictures are taken in Jouy-In-Pithiverais, to 7miles (15Km) from my home, it was necessary to me to put my telescope, computer, CCD in a special observatory. It is then, in the pages of Sky & Telescope, i saw this clever product: a transportable observatory tent. After an E-mail at Jim Kendrick I ordered, by Internet, the famous tent. To have tested it in the field, it is a Great and a very nice product! As you can see it on the pictures, you have a part allowing to put the computer, accessories, coffee, table, chairs....... Close to this room you have the part to put the telescope and your CCD camera under the night sky. The two parts communicate by a large gate. This last part can be completely closed. With Kendrick Observatory tent it is possible to be protected more effectively of the moisture. I set up the tent in 10/15min, it is fast. Its dimensions are: 4.50m x 2.70m x 1.98m. Its weight is 14Kg. It is possible to put a telescope until 350mm of diameter. It is delivered with a bag and two kinds of tent peg: in plastic and in aluminum. This product was elected one of the best product of the year 1998 by Sky & Telescope. It costs $390 US.
