My Dew remover systems

The big problem in my country and in other countries, is the dew on the optics. On the market, you have 2 accessories to fight dew. But I recommend to use them together and not separated. I use an heater and a flexible dew shield from Kendrick. The prices are good and they are very efficient.

Heater: this system is as a heating ribbon with Velcro you must put round the tube of your Schmidt-Cassegrain close to the correcting plate. The heater is connected to a controller to regulate the temperature. To supply it, i use a separated battery for car (12Volts 40Ah). I made a special device with a separated cigarette lighter plug and cables.

Dew shield: it is a flexible dew shield with Velcro. This dew shield is less expensive than Meade or Celestron. Moreover, Celestron has just introduced a similar product but I don't know the prices.
